Rustic bungalows at Ban Sabai are set on stilts and built in natural materials, some of them even incorporating mature shady trees. Winding paths up and down this tiered site lead to the river. Every bungalow has a seating verandah facing the river, as an ideal spot to relax. The Xayoh Riverside Cafe serves Asian fusion dishes along with many European specialities. Ban Sabai is a lovely spot to watch river life go by, perhaps contemplating kayaking on the Nam Song, or trekking and bicycle exploration of the fascinating countryside across the river.

Breakfast beside the river at Xayoh Riverside Cafe is a lovely way to start the day. Drinks, oven-baked pizza, pasta, Asian fusion cuisine and Lao specialities are served until late in the evening in this superb setting with views of the limestone peaks. Custom design forged iron furniture, terracotta candle lighting and a sunset view make this an intimate setting for evening dining. Functions, including a traditional Baci ceremony, and group catering can be tailored for a group or a family.
